I thought Convoy was a broker?

The Convoy Inc. brokerage ceased operations in October 2023 and Flexport acquired its technology platform. The tech (known as the “Convoy Platform”) is owned and operated by Flexport Freight Tech LLC and is accessible to carriers via the Convoy app. 

Use the Convoy app to find, bid on, and haul loads from brokers, get paid fast, streamline bookkeeping, and grow your business.

Is the Convoy app free?

Yes, the Convoy app is completely free to use. There are no sign-up fees or monthly fees.

How do I sign up?

The sign-up process only takes a few minutes.

  1. Download the Convoy app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store), or create an account online through the carrier web portal.
  2. Enter your DOT number and verify your carrier information.
  3. Verify your insurance.
  4. Customize your profile.
  5. Review and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.

What kind of freight is offered in the app?

The Convoy app offers local, regional, and long-haul full truckload (FTL) freight across the following trailer types: Dry van (Regular 53′), Reefer (Regular (53′).

Over time, new trailer types may become available.

How do I book loads?

Booking loads through the Convoy app is easy and fast. Once you’ve found a load that you’re interested in hauling, you’ll have the option to book it immediately at the posted rate or bid on the load with a rate that works for you.

If you choose to bid, you’ll be notified if your bid was accepted or rejected. If your bid wins, you’ll still be given the option to accept or decline the load.
