Running more or less parallel to the Pacific Coast, I-5 is the principal north-south interstate highway on the United States’ West Coast. I-5 stretches from the Mexican border to the Canadian border, and is the only continuous interstate highway to do so.
The interstate is 1,381.29 miles long, with 796.53 miles in California, 308.14 miles in Oregon, and 276.62 miles in Washington. On its way through these three states, I-5 passes through the following major U.S. cities:
