Carrier Compliance and Onboarding
The highest level of confidence in our carriers.
Why does compliance matter?
Compliance is important for many reasons.
We work with carriers who comply with the legal requirements to operate, have the correct level of insurance to protect themselves and their customers from financial harm, are safe, and employ drivers and dispatchers who are professional in their demeanor and communication.
Required Carrier Onboarding Documentation:
Certificate of Insurance
Signed Broker/Carrier Agreement
Convoy utilizes the most up to date carrier safety data through an integration with carrier monitoring services Saferwatch and RMIS to ensure we use carriers who prioritize safety. Automated continuous safety monitoring and more rigorous safety standards distinguish Convoy from other transportation service providers.
Convoy validates information collected from the carrier at on-boarding against government records to identify and prevent fraudulent carriers from operating in our network.
This fraud prevention framework allows Convoy to identify fraudulently operating carriers, signups by unauthorized representatives of a carrier, and chameleon carriers. Once identified, these entities are blocked from signing up with Convoy.
Convoy utilizes Registry Monitoring Insurance Service to monitor insurance certificates for our carriers, getting real-time data on renewals and cancellations, blocking carriers without active proof of insurance from taking loads.
Convoy verifies operating authority automatically through Saferwatch and instantly blocks any carriers without active operating authority.
