Convoy Recognized as “Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation” for Second Consecutive Year

Convoy is honored to be named by the Women In Trucking Association (WIT) for the second consecutive year as a recipient of the “Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation” award.

The Women In Trucking Association is a non-profit organization with a mission of encouraging the employment of women in the trucking industry, promoting their accomplishments, and minimizing obstacles faced by women working in the industry. The 2022 award marks the fifth year of this prestigious recognition program which garnered a record 22,000 votes, with winners representing a diverse range of business sectors in the commercial freight transportation marketplace, including motor carriers, third-party logistics companies, and original equipment manufacturers.

According to Ellen Voie, President and CEO of WIT, the award was created in 2018 to promote the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the trucking industry, an important element of the organization’s mission.

Characteristics represented by winning companies include corporate cultures that support gender diversity, competitive compensation and benefits, flexible hours and work requirements, professional development opportunities, and career advancement opportunities.

Convoy believes strongly in fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. One of the ways this comes to life is through its Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), employee-led communities that represent diverse identities and experiences including gender, race, military service, and the LGBTQIA community.
